How to try FlyUnder
This is FlyUnder's test site. Everything here is for trying things out: flights are never real commitments, and test data may be cleared.
Use your real email address so the sign-in codes and flight emails reach you.
Sign in to startFor pilots
1. Sign in
Enter your email on the sign-in page and type the 6-digit code we send you. (Google or Apple sign-in works too if you prefer.)
2. Set up your pilot profile
On your home screen, choose Set up your pilot profile. Enter your name exactly as it appears on your FAA pilot certificate, and your certificate level. We match it against the FAA's public airmen records.
3. The ID check (test mode: no real ID)
Next you're sent to Stripe for the ID check. On this test site Stripe runs in test mode: no document is uploaded, nothing is checked, and Stripe keeps no ID of yours.
You'll see a page titled "Stripe Identity Testing" that says "You're currently in test mode". Under "Complete with test data", choose Verification success, then press Submit.
Don't choose "Preview user experience": that path asks for a photo of a document, which isn't needed here.
Because test mode returns a sample name, your profile then shows that an admin is reviewing it. The FlyUnder team approves it, usually the same day.
4. Turn on two-step verification
Open Security and add an authenticator app (1Password, Google Authenticator, Authy). Pilots need it to confirm flights and invite passengers.
5. Create your Terminal and add your aircraft
Choose Start a Terminal (your private space), add your aircraft by its N-number (we fill in the make and model from the FAA registry), and add or check its performance table.
Accept the documents and press Go live. Your Terminal is never listed or searchable; only people you invite can see it.
6. Set your availability
Add the times you're happy to fly: one-off windows or repeating ones (for example every Saturday 9 to 5). Passengers can only ask for times inside these windows.
7. Invite a passenger
Under Invite someone you know, enter a friend's email and an optional note. They get an email from you with a link. Invite someone who has agreed to help test.
Then, with a passenger
8. The passenger asks to fly
Your passenger opens the invitation link, signs in with the same email, picks a date inside your window, the airports, and whether to leave at a time or arrive by a time. They see an estimated departure and arrival, then send the request.
9. You confirm it
You get an email. On the flight page, choose the FBO where you'll meet under Trip details (and optionally your route), then Confirm this flight. You can also suggest a different time or decline.
10. The ticket and Apple Wallet
Your passenger gets a confirmation email with their ticket and QR code. On their ticket page (Your ticket on the flight page) they can tap Add to Apple Wallet on an iPhone, and add the flight to their calendar.
The QR opens the ticket only for them and for you, so you can scan it at the FBO.
Good to know
Google Wallet: on the test site it only works for the FlyUnder team's own Google accounts until Google approves our Wallet publishing. Use Apple Wallet or the calendar buttons for now.
All times are planning estimates. The pilot makes every go/no-go decision.
